Common Name: Ficus indica, Indian fig

Description: A type of prickly pear, believed brought to the San Diego area by early settlers. Used for food, and a hedge or border along property lines. Plants can grow to 12' tall and 20' wide.

Location: Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve, close to the Ranch House.
