Tracking Team
|
The Los Penasqusitos Tracking Team (LPTT) was formed
in 1993 to provide focused wildlife studies in and around the Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve. The LPTT was the first tracking team of
its kind in San Diego County and is now one of the many tracking teams that
comprise the San Diego Tracking Team.
The LPTT offers a number of
classes in the art of wildlife tracking and naturalist skills
development. We host a free, monthly tracking walk on the 2nd
Saturday of each month which is open to anyone who has an interest in
learning more about tracking. See our
schedule for a list of all our current events.
Quarterly wildlife surveys, performed in conjunction with the San
Diego Tracking Team, are conducted within the Preserve. A component of
these wildlife surveys includes the use of
remote sensing cameras.
